There are just two barrels of the 2013 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, which comes from 80-year-old vines the lieu-dit "Le Charlemagne." It has a concentrated bouquet with ripe mango, orange pastille and light honeyed tones. The palate is medium-bodied with a honeyed texture, quite rich and opulent in the mouth, but with fine minerality coming through on the finish that needs just a little more energy. Still, this should age well over the long term.
