The ruby-colored Auxey-Duresses 1er Cru (from a total of 1 hectare rented in both the Les Duresses and Les Breterins vineyards) possesses a ripe cherry, flint and mineral-scented nose. With its a crisp red currant and raspberry-flavors, this soft, and medium-bodied wine ends with a long and supple finish. It will be at its best between now and 2000.
As always, ratings with a score in parentheses indicate the wine was tasted from cask, not bottle.
