The 2005 Montepulciano d-Abruzzo Rosso del Duca strikes a nice stylistic middle ground between the entry-level Montepulciano and the top of the line Adrano bottling. This deeply-colored wine is generous and open on the palate, where it presents attractive sweet dark fruit intermingled with toasted oak nuances.
