Dark ruby-colored, with a tight but promising nose of licorice, blackcurrants, and minerals, this medium-bodied wine possesses attractively sweet, rich, cassis fruit and moderate tannin. The wine reveals fine concentration and ripeness, but it requires 2-4 years of cellaring; it should last for 12-14 years. It appears to be one of the few 1992s with sufficient fruit to balance out the tannin.
