Ripe, toasty nose of pear, flint, hawthorn and peach. Simple, textured wine with oak and tangy, dense fruit and minerally finish.

A moderately riper nose with hints of pain grillé, exotic yellow fruit and strong citrus aromas merges into detailed, complex, intense and beautifully balanced medium-bodied flavors that culminate in a rich, full and powerful finish that both stains and coats the mouth on the moderately austere backend. This is very Morgeot, which is to say robust if not elegant but there is plenty of concentration and depth. A fine example of the appellation.
