This impressive, large, full-bodied Brunello di Montalcino reveals some surprising amber at the edge, but it tastes youthful, with much of its potential ahead of it. The wine exhibits a big, spicy, leathery, earthy, berry-scented nose, considerable body, and high tannin. Although the fruit is sweet, generous, and expansive, this wine may have a tendency to dry out before the tough tannin mellows. Drink it over the next 12-15 years.
