Villard fashioned powerful Condrieus in 2001, all revealing honeysuckle, apricot, and peach-like fruit as well as abundant minerality. The medium to full-bodied 2001 Condrieu Terrasses du Palat exhibits more wood and earth as well as the same ripe fruit notes as found in the 2001 Condrieu Le Grand Vallon. I loved this cuvee, which is best consumed over the next 1-2 years.
