The 2006 ARAGONEZ & TOURIGA NACIONAL is fruity, soft and lively, with sweet, easy fruit. It is rather charming, and likely to be a party favorite, if a bit on the simple and light side. It does have some supporting tannins that give it some verve. The mid-palate is a bit on the modest side, and the wine already seems ready to drink, but its flavors are attractive and this is a pretty respectable effort in its price range in a difficult vintage. It does fade too fast, and when it does, it seems a bit hollow. Despite its tannic support, I think this will need to be drunk sooner rather than later for best results. Drink now-2010. The Adegaborba.pt line from this co-op is new, and usually involves a marriage of local grapes to international ones in a modest price range.Importer: Luiz’s Liquors, Inc. and L&B Beverage, Inc., Fall River, MA; tel.
