The white 2014 Casal Novo Godello, cropped from a late vintage with a longer vegetative cycle was finally harvested at the end of September. It's produced with grapes from 33-year-old vines on clay and limestone soils, fermented in stainless steel and bottled unoaked and without malolactic, as the grapes are naturally low in malic acid. It shows signs of evolution, with honeyed notes and hints of pollen, and a polished palate, with mellow flavors and acidity that seems to have faded. Drink up. 20,000 bottle produced.
