Albert Mann's wines are generally superb in quality, with dramatic personalities, plenty of concentration, and impeccable balance. Mann's 1990 and 1989 Pinot Blanc-Auxerrois were both bottled unfiltered. One can sense that there was little removed from either of these rich, honeyed, apple, gorgeously fruity, medium-bodied, elegant wines. The 1990 may have slightly more fragrance, but both are top notch examples of how good this varietal can be. Drink them both over the next 2-3 years. Importer: Weygandt-Metzler, Unionville, PA.
