The mocha-scented 2016 RKV Reserve Pinot Noir shows a hefty oak component married to bold cherry fruit. It's a big, muscular style, full-bodied but not entirely inelegant, with a long, silky-textured finish and hints of wild thyme and clove. I suspect it will be better after a year or two in the cellar.

Released a year later, the 2014 RKV Reserve Pinot Noir adds an extra level of concentration and richness compared to the regular bottling. It still follows the same stylistic paradigm, offering up plush notes of loam, cola, cedar and dried spices, seamlessly married with plummy fruit. It's full-bodied and lush, with a velvety texture and long finish.

Pale to medium ruby colored, the 2013 Amisfield Rkv Reserve Pinot Noir has a beautiful nose of potpourri, lavender and kirsch with hints of baking spices and fallen leaves. Light to medium-bodied, soft, satiny and with many layers of understated perfumed red berry flavors, it has a refreshing lift in the long finish.
