The 2008 Barbera d’Alba Giada emerges from 60-year-old vines in La Morra. It is a deep, fleshy wine with good balance and density. This is a strong showing for a vintage that was quite challenging for Barbera. The Giada spent 18 months in 100% new oak barrels. Anticipated maturity: 2012-2014.
Fabio and Andrea Oberto are arguably La Morra’s most important under-the-radar growers.
