The 2005 Son Negre is sourced from the estate’s oldest vineyards with the lowest yields. Made of a blend of Callet and Mantonegro-Fogoneu aged for 19 months in new French barriques, it shows off a compelling nose of toasty oak, mineral, Asian spices, lavender, black cherry, and black raspberry. Rich, long, and built for pleasure, it will continue to blossom for another 3-4 years and offer a drinking window extending from 2013 to 2020 if not longer.
