The two red value-wines begin with the purple-colored 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Columbia Valley. It was aged in 40% new French oak, apparent in the wine’s toasty aromatics. It also reveals floral notes, black currant, and blackberry. Ripe and sweetly fruited on the palate, it has enough structure to evolve for 2-3 years. It will drink well from 2010 to 2016.
