From the Sonoma side of Mt. Veeder, the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve exhibits more cedarwood, creme de cassis, charcoal, white chocolate, and loamy soil notes in a rich, pure, full-bodied, spicy, dense style. Textured, broad, and deep with velvety tannins, it should provide plenty of pleasure over the next 12-15 years. I have been impressed with Audelssa’s wines since their first vintage debuted less than a decade ago. All the fruit comes primarily from the steep, western slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains, and the winery is equally talented whether it’s turning out Bordeaux varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, or unleashing some complex, delicious Rhone Rangers.Tel.
