One of my favorites is the 2008 Blend 24 Proprietary Red (30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Sangiovese, 20% Syrah, and 20% Petite Sirah). A supple, fleshy effort with plenty of nuance and complexity (as one might expect from this particular blend), it exhibits plenty of black cherry, strawberry and licorice notes intermixed with hints of forest floor and spice. Medium to full-bodied with silky tannins, it represents a hedonistic as well as intellectually satisfying wine. Consume it over the next 7-8 years. A dizzying array of interesting wines emerges from B Cellars. The only innocuous offering I tasted was their white wine, the 2009 Blend 23, composed of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier.Tel.
