The 2018 Sicilia Chardonnay Laudàri is a plump and juicy white with bright tones of bergamot, preserved lemon, sweet almond and mature orchard fruit. The oak spice is well contained and tucked into the back of all that ripe Sicilian fruit. This Chardonnay does a brief four months in barrel. There is some mint and oregano on the close. Laudàri would be gorgeous with Sicilian couscous with tuna, eggplant and pistachios. Exactly 11,928 bottles were made.

Round and ripe, the 2017 Sicilia Chardonnay Laudàri offers a lean to mid-weight approach with opulent aromas of apricot, lemon mousse, vanilla cream and tropical fruit. It's a terrific white to pair with spicy Indian dishes. The mouthfeel is a bit short in this vintage, but the intensity of the bouquet almost completely makes up for that fact.

The 2016 Sicilia Chardonnay Laudàri is an oak-driven white wine with dried apricot, honey, toasted almond and creamy almond aromas. This is a medium-bodied Chardonnay with enough structure, volume and texture to pair with shellfish or white meat. The style borders on being too big, but it ultimately works out nicely in terms of mouthfeel. The wine is aged in barrique for four months, and it sees an additional eight months in bottle before its commercial release. Some 9,942 bottles were released.

The 2015 Sicilia Chardonnay Laudàri is a robust, medium-bodied white wine that is brimming with papaya and other tropical fruit aromas, with peach, lemon, vanilla and toasted almond all mixed in at the back with various degrees of intensity. The bouquet shows a lot of fluid movement. The creamy mouthfeel is tonic and fresh.

Very toasty and oaky, the 2014 Sicilia Chardonnay Laudàri adopts a New World approach to this versatile white grape. This is a thick and creamy Chardonnay with stone fruit, pineapple and Golden Delicious apple. At the back are warm tones of butter, toasted pine nut and a characteristic touch of pecorino cheese rind that adds a spicy note to the finish. This is a big white wine from Sicily.
