Like the other wines in this series of Barolo from the 2014 vintage—the ones with the cream-colored labels—this wine lacks energy and life. What you can expect from the 2014 Barolo Bussia Vigneto Bofani are notes of pressed roses and blue flower, with more flat fruit. I recommend a short-term drinking window as a result. Some 13,000 bottles were produced.

Beni di Batasiolo has delivered some very nice results in the 2009 vintage, and these wines are just about to enter their drinking window. The 2009 Barolo Bussia Vigneto Bofani shows a slightly sweet nose with ripe berry aromas followed by spice, licorice and toasted Spanish cedar. The mouthfeel offers firm structure with drying tannins at the back. This wine stands out for that structure.
