With a very deep purple-black color, the 2006 Great Western Thomson Family Shiraz gives a whole array of complex aromas: warm plum, kirsch, blackberry conserve, dried rose petals, black pepper, loam, underbrush, tobacco, smoky bacon, mocha and girolles. With so much happening on the nose, the palate is surprisingly elegant with medium to full body, medium-high acid and a medium to high level of finely grained tannins. Exquisitely balanced, this wine has a very long finish. Beginning to drink well now, it should cellar until 2025+.No known USA importer.
