The NV Sparkling Shiraz comes across as medium-sweet in style, with ripe blackberries and raspberries helped along by substantial residual sugar. It's medium to full-bodied, round and softly fizzy, with enough sugar on the finish to make me think of serving it with brunch or dessert, rather than with a savory main. Still, it's well made and would be a good introduction to sparkling Shiraz at a reasonable price (in March, Pennsylvania residents could find it on sale for $13.59 per bottle via the PLCB).
