The 2009 Garnacha offers up spicy cherry aromas and flavors in an easy-to-understand style. Drink it over the next 2-3 years. Alange is located in the DO of Ribera del Guadiana in the Extremadura region. In the past few years there have been notable improvements here likely associated with the pressure to export. These varietal wines have all had a bit of exposure to oak. All of these wines are good to very good values meant for uncritical near-term drinking.
