Bodegas Aruspide, founded in 1999, owns 110 hectares of vineyard and controls an additional 60. All 170 hectares have organic certification. The 2004 Autor de Aruspide is 100% Tempranillo sourced from 60-year-old vines. The wine spent 9 months in French oak and was bottled unfiltered. Deep crimson-colored, it exhibits an expressive bouquet of cedar, spice, box, pencil lead, and blackberry. With an uncomplicated, straightforward personality, it has plenty of supple, ripe fruit, attractive black fruit flavors, and a moderately long finish.
