The young and unoaked 2020 Honoro Vera Garnacha was produced with grapes from vines averaging 40 years of age and matured in oak barrels for a couple of months, as they want to keep the young profile and the intensity of fruit without makeup. It's juicy, with varietal notes of wild berries, flowers and herbs and a mellow palate with very soft tannins and mellow acidity. 600,000 bottles produced.

I tasted two vintages of each wine, the youngest of the entry-level Garnacha being the 2018 Honoro Vera Garnacha, from vines around the village of Ateca. It matured in oak for two months to keep its youth and fresh fruit. The wines from 2018 are slightly lighter and fresher and have textbook varietal aromas of berries and aromatic herbs and just a very subtle spicy touch. The palate is juicy and reveals very round tannins and a velvety texture. It's pleasant and easy to drink. A very good value. 600,000 bottles produced.
