The classical 2015 Abadía de San Quirce Crianza has notes of orange peel and earth, with a touch of rusticity. It has good ripeness without excess and a juicy mouthfeel. Clean and pleasant. Some 150,000 bottles were filled in June 2017.

Fresh and focused, this juicy red delivers bright flavors of cherry, red plum, licorice, cocoa and mineral. The structure is balanced and has depth below the fruity surface. Lively and graceful. The 2014 Abadía de San Quirce Crianza is a fluid Tempranillo with nicely integrated oak aromas and some flavors from the élevage of 14 months in a mixture of new and used 50/50 French and American oak barrels. It's quite balanced, with fine tannins and good acidity, with power but without excess. A good Ribera. 146,500 bottles and 2,500 magnums produced.

Although the 2013 has not yet been released, I already tasted the 2013 Abadía de San Quirce Crianza from Bodegas Imperiales, pure Tempranillo from old vines matured in a mixture of new and used 50/50 French and American oak barrels. It has a clean nose, quite focused with aromas of red berries and sweet spices, and a medium-bodied palate with good balance, fine tannins and nice acidity. A textbook crianza, very good for the conditions of the year. 115,000 bottles.
