One of the first to estate bottle in Rias Baixas, Bodegas La Val has benefitted from the increasing worldwide interest in these fragrant, flowery, fruit-driven Spanish whites made from the indigenous varietal, Albarino. Made from 20+-year-old vines, this 2012 Albarino was fermented in stainless steel and aged on its lees until bottling. Elegant aromas of peach skin, honeyed apricot and spring flowers jump from the glass of this dry, fresh, nicely textured, light to medium-bodied white. It is a perfect foil for all types of seafood and lighter poultry dishes. Drink it over the next year.
