Raising the bar is the 2004 Finca Santa Sabina, a blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Tempranillo aged 13 months in French and American oak. Purple-colored, it has a classy nose of vanilla, spice box, lead pencil, and black currants. Full-bodied, with layers of black fruit flavor bordering on opulence, this supple-textured wine, nicely balanced wine should evolve for several years and drink well for more than a decade. It is also an outstanding value.
