The 2013 Merlot Rosado is a young unoaked rosé produced with pure Merlot. Deep pink-colored, it has a meaty and leafy nose with some strawberry sweets. The palate is medium-bodied, with good acidity and freshness. 18,000 bottles

An excellent value. The 1998 Merlot offers copious quantities of black cherry and berry fruit intermixed with spicy oak. Dry tannin in the finish kept my score low, but this is an attractive, bargain-priced Merlot with more character than most in this price range. Drink it over the next 2-3 years.
