The 2006 Ines Vizcarra spent 15 months in 500-liter French oak. It offers up a superb aromatic array, of pain grille, pencil lead, espresso, incense, black cherry, and blackberry. Packed and stacked, this dense, masculine wine demands 8-10 years of additional bottle age. There are tons of extract and a boatload of tannin, but it has the balance to age gracefully in the manner of a top-flight Bordeaux. Its prime drinking window will extend from 2016 to 2036.
