The 2003 Alzania Crianza is composed of 56% Tempranillo, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, with the balance Merlot and Garnacha. It spent 12 months in French, American, and Russian oak. Dark ruby/purple-colored, it offers a pleasant bouquet of spice box, mineral, pencil lead, and black fruits. Nicely balanced with enough structure to evolve for 1-2 years, this tasty effort should drink well through 2015. Importer: Brad Jensen, Bon Vivant Imports; tel. (435) 654-3711
