The 2008 Alto Las Pizarras del Jalon was sourced from the same vineyard but aged for 10 months in 40% new French demi-muids. Purple colored, the oak regimen adds aromatic complexity with aromas of smoke, mineral, tobacco, leather, lavender, and black cherry. Sweet, layered, and succulent, it will evolve for 2-3 years and offer prime drinking from 2012 to 2020.
Bodegas y Vinedos del Jalon’s current portfolio is first class from top to bottom.
