The 2009 Vina Alarba Old Vines Grenache is sourced from low yielding vines over 40 years of age and was fermented and aged in stainless steel. An earthy minerality, lavender, and black cherries inform the nose of this forward, ripe, savory red. It is a very good value that will provide pleasure for another 3-4 years.
