The 2006 Bodegas Zifar Crianza is 100% Tempranillo that spent 12 months in barrel. Attractive aromas of cedar, spice box, and black cherry lead to an easy-going wine with ample sweet fruit and some elegance. Drink it over the next 6 years. No known American importer.

Earthy and gamy notes give this solid red a rustic character, but there's a deep core of plum and raisin, with cedar and tobacco accents. Fresh, crushed blackberry nose. Lifted palate with evident, but well-judged, creamy oak and firm, smooth tanin. Really good balance and length.
