Medium ruby-purple, the 2020 Ripper offers alluring aromas of cranberry sauce, red cherry jam, woodsmoke, charcuterie and graphite with wafts of dried herbs. The medium-bodied palate is supple and juicy with perfumed fruits and a long, detailed finish. Drink it over the next 3-5 years for all that pretty floral perfume.

The 2019 Ripper Grenache, matured for 16 months and made with more stem inclusion than the longer aged version of this cuvée, explodes with a perfume of candied peaches and crushed red berries with nuances of wildflowers, aniseed and charcuterie and a fine underpinning of citrus and amaro-like nuances. The palate's kaleidoscopic flavors are lit by juicy acidity and spicy accents, framed by resolved, grainy tannins, and this bright young wine finishes with tremendous length and detail. What a glorious expression this vintage!

The 2018 The Ripper is a barrel sample of 100% Grenache aging in 40% new French oak puncheons. Medium to deep ruby, it has a youthful nose of rhubarb and red berry jams—raspberries, strawberries, cranberries—with oodles of violet and lilac perfume and notes of amaro and underbrush. Medium to full-bodied, it's lushly fruited in the mouth with a very pretty floral backbone, a grainy frame and mind-bending freshness, finishing long and flavorful. About 750 cases will be made.

The 2017 The Ripper is made of 100% Grenache aged in 25% new French oak puncheons. Pale to medium ruby, it features scents of raspberry preserves, rhubarb, dried red currants and red cherries, dried herbs, charcuterie and blood orange peel with amaro spices and an earthy undercurrent. Light to medium-bodied, the palate offers a great interplay of bright fruits and earthy/savory notions, with a firm, pleasantly chalky frame and great freshness, finishing long. 600 cases produced.

Made from 100% Grenache, the 2015 The Ripper (Grenache) has a pale to medium garnet-purple color and charges out of the gate with vibrant raspberry, black cherry and wild strawberries with hints of dried flowers, cinnamon stick and Sichuan pepper. Full-bodied, rich and seductive, the palate is packed with spicy red berry coulis flavors, paved with plush tannins and finishes with loads of layers.
