Composed of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Shiraz, 7.5% Malbec and 6.5% Merlot, the 2009 Tamblyn has a deep garnet-purple color, offering pronounced notes of kirsch, cassis cordial and warm raspberries with hints of lavender, milk chocolate and a touch of cedar. Medium to full-bodied, it gives just enough vanilla and spice-laced, warm berry flavors in the mouth, with medium-high acidity and a medium level of velvety tannins, finishing long. Drink it now to 2016. Importer: The Ravensvale Group, Naples, FL; tel. (800) 580-0052
