Aromas of orange oil, honeycomb and pear introduce the 2018 Viré-Clessé Sous les Plantes, a medium to full-bodied, round and fleshy wine that's charming and open-knit. This hails from an east-facing, early-ripening parcel in the south of the appellation, at the bottom of the slope.

The 2017 Viré-Clessé Sous les Plantes reveals aromas of orange rind, yellow orchard fruit and green pear, followed by a medium to full-bodied, satiny and enveloping palate that's bright and lively, concluding with a long finish. This old-vine wine is a fine bottling for the Bret Brothers this year.
