The 20th Anniversary Cabernet Sauvignon is 100% varietal, spent 12 months in French oak, and was bottled only in magnum. Dark ruby-colored, it offers a concoction of cedar, spice box, smoky black currants, and blueberry aromas. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is elegantly styled, still youthful, and has a nice layering of black fruits and well-integrated tannin and acidity, The finish is long and pure. This Saint-Julien look-alike should blossom for several more years but can be enjoyed now with baby goat or suckling pig.
Carlos Esteva is the man behind these intriguing white wines. His M.O. bears a certain resemblance to that of Kalin Cellars’ Terry Leighton particularly with regard to releasing wines only when he feels they are ready to be drunk.
