The 2006 MONSARAZ is a blend of Trincadeira, Aragonez, Moreto and Castelao. It has a slightly roasted, red berry nuance. The fruit is supported by light and lively tannins. Although the mid-palate thins rather quickly with air and the tannins quickly drop off as well, this is a pleasing if simple wine at a fair price point that provides tons of flavor and has an elegant feel.
