The 2003 Crianza Reserva is composed of Tempranillo, Monastrell, and Syrah aged for 13 months in French and American oak. Dense purple-colored, it has an excellent bouquet of toast, smoke, earth, and assorted black fruits. The flavors promise future complexity and the wine is chewy and rich. Minty smelling, with herbal red fruit and rhubarb scents. The wine is clack, clack, clack on the palate as acids and snappy red fruit draw everything down to the base level.
