The 2003 Crianza Reserva is composed of Tempranillo, Monastrell, and Syrah aged for 13 months in French and American oak. Dense purple-colored, it has an excellent bouquet of toast, smoke, earth, and assorted black fruits. The flavors promise future complexity and the wine is chewy and rich. However, there is plenty of tannin to lose and 3-4 years of cellaring appears mandatory. Importer: Opici Wines, Glen Rock, NJ; tel. (201) 689-3256
