The 2004 RESERVA is a blend of Merlot, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz, aged in French oak. It is rather gamey on the nose. Smoothly textured and easygoing, it nonetheless has a little intensity and focus on the finish, and reasonably good structure. For a wine from warm Estremadura, this is a rather bright wine, marked by red cherries and sandalwood. Touches of dry oak and cocoa emerge on the finish.——J.C.(11/1/2006)—— 86
