Unfortunately, only small quantities of this wine were made. It is a dead ringer for a great dry Loire Valley Chenin Blanc given its huge, rich, concentrated fruit, gentle touch of oak, and full-bodied, spicy, blockbuster finish. Texturally similar to a big, chewy Chardonnay, this dry Chenin Blanc has always been one of Chalone's specialties and is worth a special effort to find. It should drink well for 4-5 years.
