The nose of the 2017 Chardonnay Edna Valley, aged 12 months in 30% new French oak, gives up quince paste, white peaches, nectarine, honey-drizzled pistachios and freshly cut hay scents, gaining savoriness as it sits in the glass. It’s medium to full-bodied, satiny textured and classily restrained, with juicy lift and a long, nutty finish. 914 cases produced.
