The 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Reserve spent 11 months in French oak of which 30% is new. The wood comes through on the nose that is clean and crisp, although that oak almost mutates the aromatics into a well-meaning Chardonnay. The palate is well defined with a slightly herbaceous entry, crisp acidity and a light, focused finish of lemon peel and lime. This is very fine (even if it does have pretensions towards another grape variety!) Drink now-2015.
