This 1998 tastes much more diffuse than it did prior to bottling, with tasty black cherry fruit, but little weight or depth. It is attractive in a low key, superficial way. Drink it over the next 7-8 years.

A soft, earthy, ripe, jammy wine with low acidity, plum and cherry fruit, and considerable near-term appeal, this 1997 should be drunk over the next 6-7 years.P.S. Bordeaux insiders should keep an eye on this estate.

I suspect a far richer, more complex wine could emerge from this outstanding Pomerol terroir. The 1996 possesses a medium ruby color, and an evolved, complex nose of cedar, kirsch, roasted herbs, and spice. Good fruit combines with moderate levels of glycerin in this medium-bodied, richly fruity yet essentially one-dimensional, straightforward Pomerol. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
