Aromas of dark berries, cherries and baking chocolate introduce the 2021 Clarke, a medium-bodied, taut and typically structured wine that will likely flesh out with further élevage.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2020 Clarke needs a fair bit of swirling to reveal notes of crushed red and black currants, fresh black berries and boysenberries, plus wafts of pencil lead, sautéed herbs and unsmoked cigars. The medium-bodied palate is elegantly played and refreshing, featuring a light chewiness of tannins to back up the crunchy red and black berry flavors, finishing with an herbal lift.
