From well-known producer Jean-Claude Aubert, the 2009 Messile Aubert from Montagne St.-Emilion (another relatively under-the-radar appellation adjacent to St.-Emilion) exhibits plenty of mocha notes along with cherry and berry fruitiness, some hints of minerality, and a medium-bodied, fleshy mouthfeel. It should drink nicely for the next 3-4 years, as this is a front end-loaded, forward style of wine.
