The 2016 S de Siran is a blend of 58% Merlot and 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, this Deuxieme Vin actually not released during en primeur. It offers light black, slightly earthy fruit on the nose that need to show a touch more vigor once in bottle. The palate is medium-bodied with grippy tannin, perhaps just a little rustic in style, but there is good body here and it should drink well for 4-5 years after bottling.

The 2015 S de Siran, the deuxième vin of Siran, is not usually sold en primeur. It offers dried violet petals on the nose, a melange of red and black fruit, the oak nicely integrated. The palate is smooth and quite fleshy, well balanced with sappy black fruit on the finish that leaves you with a pepper aftertaste. Give this a couple of years in bottle.
