The 2007 Pinot Noir Reserve is a selection of the best barrels in the cellar. In this vintage 80% of the wine came from the Ridgecrest Vineyard and was aged in 50% new oak. The nose exhibits pain grille, mineral, earth notes, lots of spice, and assorted red fruits. Silky on the palate, this elegant offering has excellent depth, succulence of fruit, and is surprisingly lush for the vintage. Drink it from 2011 to 2019. Chehalem produces a bevy of value priced white wines, many of which are reviewed in Issue 184 on the erobertparker.com website.Tel. (503) 538-9396; www.chehalemwines.com
