Slightly peppery and gingery on the nose, Pichon's 2019 Condrieu also delivers charming notes of ripe apricots and white peaches. An assemblage of lots (some were made and matured in barrels, while others spent time in stainless steel), it's full-bodied but graceful, with a plump, fleshy feel on the palate and a long, elegant finish.

Aged half in tank and half in barrel, Pichon's 2016 Condrieu is a textbook example of the appellation. Melon and apricot notes abound in this medium to full-bodied white, which features a juicy succulence balanced by soft, layered tannins on the finish.

There are two Condrieus from winemaker Christophe Pichon. The base 2015 Condrieu offers a classic, medium to full-bodied, classy style with notes of buttered peach, tangerine, toasted bread and a hint of minerality. It’s certainly outstanding and will drink nicely for 2-3 years at a minimum.

Christophe Pichon has fashioned a beautiful 2014 Condrieu that offers classy notes of white peach, lychee nut and crisp apricot in a medium-bodied, supple, balanced style that you can’t go wrong with. Aged 12 months in equal parts tank and barrel, drink it anytime over the coming 3-4 years.
