Here's a bottle that goes down quickly with slices of roast pork, to which I can personally attest. The highly enjoyable and drinkable 2018 Barbera d'Alba Vigna Serraboella is dark but not too black. It's rich but not too concentrated. It hits all the right marks, imparting pretty tones of blackberry and dark cherry along the way. It is especially attractive in terms of mouthfeel, thanks to the wine's careful balance. Some 9,000 bottles were made.
