The 2008 Jaspi Maragda is made up of 45% Garnacha, 25% Carinena, with the balance Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Tempranillo aged 4 months in French and American oak. It sports an alluring bouquet of Asian spices, incense, black cherry, and blueberry leading to a wine slightly more structured than the Jaspi Negre cuvee. Give this well-proportioned effort another 1-2 years of cellaring and drink it through 2020. Importer: The Artisan Collection, Brooklyn, NY; tel. (718) 596-0722
